Ever wondered how a QR code link creator works? Today, I want to teach you how to create a simple, quick QR code in CANVA. You'll be able to take it with you anywhere you go and have your checkout system, your business card, and any other link you need at your fingertips.

For those that are new, hi, I'm Marilyn! The Astro Biz & Money Coach. I teach entrepreneurs and creative wealth builders how to align their money system, passions, and talents in their life + biz with their astrology blueprint. And all of the online tech tools you'll need to grow and scale your businesses.

Simple Graphic Design

Have you ever been to a convention? You don't want to bring your whole POS system, and you'll to keep it easy and streamlined. So, why not use the tech that is all around you?

I created a simple graphic earlier today in Canva. Now, I want to resize it to pop it in a frame where the client can scan a QR code at the convention and pay right from their phone or device.

What’s the deal with the scanner thing-y I see everywhere?

Similar to a UPC, a QR Code is a two-dimensional code that can be used to store information such as checkout links, photos, videos, and URLs to anything you can think of. The convenience comes from having the capabilities of scanning this quick response code with your smartphone camera. 🤳🏽

Dynamic vs. Static

A static QR code stores info that can't be changed once it's live. One and done! If you make a mistake, you'll need to recreate it from scratch, which would suck if we printed 1000 flyers and the info in that code was incorrect. Food for thought.

Dynamic QR codes allow you to change your information as many times as needed. In this case, the info isn't in the code itself; the code redirects to a URL you have access to for updates.

I created a simple graphic earlier today in Canva. Now, I want to resize it to pop it in a frame where the client can scan a QR code at the convention and pay right from their phone or device.

First, click this button right up here to resize your image to the desired dimensions. Canva has every size you can think of, and you can also add in your own custom dimensions.

Since I just need a basic flyer. Let's go with 8.5 x 11. Cause it's going to go in an 8x10-ish frame.

Okay>Copy resize>Boom.

Canva instantly resizes for you with a click of a button. Such a time saver! You can take any one of your graphics, instantly resize them, and fix them by moving them around. Genius!

So, I now have realigned to make space for the QR code that I'm going to place right up here.

Do you see those little guides? Those lines keep your goodies centered. So definitely use those guidelines.

Okay, so now come over here to the left. Go to your more tab and select QR. And then you have to have your URL.

Where are you sending them to? Is this a sales page link? Is this your website? Your email list? How do you want to connect with your people?  Okay. So right here, I already have my URL ready

( https://_________), all right. Copy + paste your URL here, > click generate code

BOOM! Place it wherever you like and resize it from the corners only. Very important!

There it is!

Now I have a convenient way to pay while on the go! This easy QR code created in Canva is their scanner to checkout.

Try Canva for FREE for the first 30-days, then $120 for an entire year, to pump out the amount of content that it really does take to continue to market your business consistently, is a steal!

QR codes are a simple way to bring your system anywhere you go. You can use this for anything. Website, social media maybe you just want them to start following your YouTube channel. There are many, many uses for this simple, QR code.

So I hope you found this tutorial helpful.
