5 Healing Foods to Heal the Body

There are many studies that show that you cannot eat too many fruits or vegetables. Your body needs the phytochemicals, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, and protein found in fruits and vegetables, which are with few exceptions, low in fat and calories. Here are 5 foods to add to your diet.  

Leafy Greens

According to Amy Myers MD, leafy greens are powerful and can aid in helping you feel and look younger. They can also help with belly bloat, improve inflammation response, and support optimal gut health. There are many other reasons leafy greens like kale, spinach, and chard are considered superfoods, but these reasons mentioned are a great place to start focusing to heal your body. 


Garlic

Garlic has been studied to find it has powerful antibiotic properties. It is a source of phytochemicals. These chemicals can help boost your immune system and fight off disease. Garlic has been used to treat high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, and different types of cancers. It is a real powerhouse! Eat it raw for a powerful punch!

Ginger

Ginger is known as a superfood for many reasons. One reason many people use ginger is for digestive health. Anything from acid reflux, heartburn, or indigestion.
